5 DAYS SCRAMBLING & HIKING
DAY 1
We start hiking through the massif of Jebel Um Ishrin (Rakebat Canyon) to the
valley of Um Ishrin where we have lunch. This route is used by the bedouins to cross
with their goats from one side to another. In the afternoon, we continue trekking to
Jebel Burdah (the Great Arch) where we have dinner and sleep. We can also climb moving
sand to enjoy the red sand and visit Lawrence house if time allowed.
DAY 2
After breakfast, we will start hiking and scrambling to go up to the Burdah Arch and
down the same way. We have lunch at the bottom of the route in the valley. In our way,
we have rope just for safety, it takes around 4 to 5 hours. After lunch we will walk to
Um Imgour where we have dinner and camp.
DAY 3
In the morning, we will take the jeep for 20 minutes to Alforah for the beginning
of the route of Jebel Al Hash. We walk in mountain, a very easy hike trail. We can see
very nice landscape including the desert of "No Man's Land" of Rum and Saudi Arabia.
We will continue our way down to the other side of the Nograh valley where we have lunch.
After lunch, we will cross the mountain through the sik to another valley. we continue to
Abo Hamatah mountain. We will camp here for the night.
DAY 4
We head our way to the South between the mountains to Al Makarog where we will have lunch.
Afterward, we will continue walking to Katar mountain spring until dinner time and camp there.
DAY 5
In the morning, we will walk to the direction of Rum village, to Khazali Canyon
in Um Sabatah. After a short break, we will continue to visit the Canyon of Khazali
where we see some inscriptions dated back 2500 B.C. We will overnight in our bedouin camp and return
to Wadi Rum by jeep the next morning (on Day 6).
Prices
For 2 people: 70 JD per person per day
For 3 to 4 people: 65 JD per person per day
For 5 to 7 people: 60 JD per person per day
For 8 to 12 people: 50 JD per person per day
(Prices include guiding, food, accommodation and two cars, one for the group and one
for equipment.)
